The Siltrine Boar

The Siltrine Boar

Average size: On average, the wild boars of Siltrine can grow to nearly five feet at the shoulder and weigh hundreds of pounds of dense muscle and bone. Their serrated tusks can grow over two feet long.
Habitat: Boars are typically found in the tall grass of Siltrine's lower Floors, preferring meadows and plains with lots of vegetation.
Diet: While the boars prefer to dine of vegetables and fruit from the meadows edge and sparse trees, they have been known to consume animals and hunters that fail to subdue them.
Disposition: While normally peaceful, the wild boar will defend itself with its tusks and brute strength whenever threatened and the pack sticks very close together.
Description: The Siltrine Boar is known for it's muscular body and thick hide. Blunt attacks have very little effect on the thick skin, and the bristles further impede the effort. The boar has thick, stout bones of a high density to support its considerable weight on its short legs. The Siltrine Boar is typically black in color, though some red boars do exist. All boars have a line of thick fur along their spines, and a thick tuft of fur at the ends of their whip-like tails. The boar's tusks are serrated on the inside and are typically stained with gore. The thick ivory tusks are considered a valuable prize, and can be whittled into tools and weapons.
