The Silverbacks Empty The Silverbacks

The Silverback

Average size: Silverbacks are close to five feet tall and walk on two legs, but run on all fours.
Habitat: Silverbacks are found exclusively in the Forest of Loss.
Diet: Silverbacks are carnivorous and hunt in packs.
Disposition: Silverbacks are extremely hostile and are prone to sneaking into Rock Graav to steal anything left outside after dark.
Description: Intelligent enough to lay ambushes and plan raids on Rock Graav, Silverbacks are beast-men who crave flesh. The eerie quiet of the Forest of Loss is due to the Silverbacks hunting most wildlife to extinction, however they do not hunt monsters, even those of another species. Silverbacks resemble a small human crossed with both a dog and an ape, due to their snouts, tails and long forearms. Silverbacks are most active at night, but do come out during the day to feed their voracious appetites. The Silverback are fond of anything shiny, and each pack has its own treasure hoard, filled with anything from polished plastics to rare coins and armors left outside or lifted from corpses and unwitting victims of an ambush.
Noteworthy Carves: Silverback hide makes tough leather for thick armor or shields, but is not gentle on the bare skin and requires heavy padding. The most valuable parts of the Silverback's body is their claws, which can be crushed for use in various medicines, and of course their heads and skulls are sought after by beast merchants.
