Draagon
The Proud Dragons
Draagoni, the plural of Draagon, are a Race from a distant world. Draagon is pronounced Drea-gun, rhyming with sea and sounding like gun. Descended from large flying, scaled creatures, Draagoni are humanoid in appearance. Physically, they resemble dragons made to stand on two legs, with human-ish proportions. The Draagoni have three genders, a male, female and neutral gender. All young are gender neutral until they choose a gender, at which point they begin to develop and grow the appropriate characteristics. They do not need to choose a gender during their life cycle. Draagoni lay eggs, but also nurse their young after birth, resulting in them having characteristics of cold and warm-blooded creatures.
Draagoni experience a slight sexual dimorphism, a difference between male and female. Females are constantly smaller than males, with more slender builds and smaller wings. Males, while physically larger and possessing large bony crests on their heads, do not possess the ability to breathe fire. The neutral gender have no crests or flame ability, and are the smallest in stature on average.
Draagoni have scales covering the majority of their body, with the exception of their torsos and faces. Draagoni scales can be from a great number of colors, however only royalty have the sky blue scales and yellow flesh combination. Draagoni have toxic glans under their claws that allow them to paralyze their prey.
The Draagon's home world is essentially one massive city surrounded by unforgiving wilderness. The law of the city is absolute, and the only punishments are death and exile. Draagoni are not allowed to fight or steal, or lie or cheat on their home world.
Draagon Flintrers are shaped like bone abacuses. The abacus has five rows, each with ten bone squares. Some technology connects all these devices together and allows communication over vast distances, as well as the storing of information and, of course, arithmetic.
